The unit has a failing outdoor fan motor and showing a low freon charge, which is indication of a leak possible indoor coil needs replaced. This has a discontinued Freon. The contactor coil on the 24 V side was going bad while testing the ams would jump down to, .80 ohms, which was interrupting the 24 V system shutting the condensing side down. I found it taking 6 A when the contractor got sucked in on the 24 V. I replaced the contactor and recommended replacing the system do it to its age and pending issues. I told the homeowner that these repairs today could get applied towards the new system if the homeowner moves forward within 30 days
I observed the outdoor fan motor failing. This was installed two months ago. I replaced the motor and verified operations.

I replaced warped section of lineset cover.
I cut off bad flare and reflared liquid line. Pressure tested equipment and verified good hold, re introduced factory charge to system and verified good operation.

Leak found at flare connection of smaller pipe at condenser.
Performed maintenance inspection in cooling. No issues found at this time. Homeowner would like a reminder in may for renewing his maintenance lan membership. System cooling at departure.
